Located on the East Side of Midtown Manhattan, 731 Lexington Avenue is a 55-story postmodern glass skyscraper completed in 2004 and designed by César Pelli. Rising 246 meters, the mixed-use structure serves as the headquarters of Bloomberg L.P.—earning it the informal nickname Bloomberg Tower—while also accommodating retail outlets, restaurants, and 105 luxury condominiums housed under the separate residential brand One Beacon Court. The building, which occupies the former site of an Alexander's department store, contains approximately 1.3 million square feet and ranks among New York City's tallest structures.
