The Aaron G. Cloud House, built in 1884 in McLeansboro, Illinois, is a red brick residence designed by Reid & Reid, an architectural firm from Evansville, Indiana. Commissioned by Aaron G. Cloud, founder of the Cloud State Bank, the house exemplifies the Eastlake Movement and Second Empire styles with a distinctive central tower capped by a pyramidal roof, a semicircular bay on its front facade, and a three-bay entrance porch. The interior is appointed with nine fireplaces, four of which on the first floor feature decorative wood and tile surrounds. Converted to the McCoy Memorial Library in 1922, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
