The John N. Bensen House, built in 1904 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, exemplifies the Queen Anne architectural style and stands as a testament to the prosperity of German immigrant enterprise in the upper Midwest. Constructed for John N. Bensen, who arrived in St. Cloud in 1872 and built a fortune in the grocery trade before becoming mayor and bank president, the house was recognized by its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 as one of the city's finest Queen Anne examples. Today the residence operates as the Heritage House Bed & Breakfast.
