Located southwest of Aleppo's Citadel in the Al-Jalloum district of the Ancient City, the Al-Adiliyah Mosque (also known as the Dukaginzâde Mehmed Pasha Mosque) is an Ottoman structure designed by the renowned architect Mimar Sinan and completed in 1565–1566. Endowed by Dukakinzâde Mehmed Pasha, an Albanian-Ottoman governor-general of Aleppo and later Egypt, the building was originally conceived as a külliye, a charitable complex typical of Ottoman institutional architecture. Now partially ruined, it stands within the UNESCO-listed Ancient City of Aleppo, near the Al-Saffahiyah mosque.
