The Albert Kahn Building, completed in 1931, is a ten-story Art Deco office building at 7430 Second Avenue in Detroit's New Center area, designed by the renowned architect Albert Kahn for the Fisher brothers. Architecturally similar to the nearby Fisher Building (also designed by Kahn), it features high-quality materials including polished marble lobby floors and brass elevator doors, and is connected to its sister building by an underground pedestrian tunnel. Originally housing office and retail space, it contained a Saks Fifth Avenue store on its ground floor from 1940 to 1980. The building was renamed the Albert Kahn Building in 1988 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. In 2018, the building was acquired for redevelopment into a mixed-use complex featuring residential, retail, and commercial space.
