Albuquerque Plaza, a 351-foot, 22-story skyscraker designed by Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum and completed in 1990, anchors the south side of Civic Plaza in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico, and stands as the state's tallest building. Also known as WaFd Bank Building, it forms part of a two-tower complex connected at ground level by a two-story promenade with retail space, the shorter companion being the 20-story Hyatt Regency Albuquerque hotel tower. The paired structures, unified by similar height, color, and distinctive pyramidal roofs, dominate the Albuquerque skyline and house class-A office space within the office tower.
