Anif Palace stands beside an artificial pond on the southern edge of Salzburg, Austria, a château with roots as the former seat of the bishops of Chiemsee. Serving later as a court into the nineteenth century, the structure was substantially remodeled between 1838 and 1848 in the neo-Gothic style. The palace has achieved particular fame through its appearances in several films, notably The Sound of Music, The Great Race, and Frederick Forsyth's The Odessa File. Today it remains a listed heritage object in Austria.
