Apple Park, the corporate headquarters of Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, opened to employees in April 2017 as a striking neo-futurist achievement designed by architect Norman Foster. The complex's defining feature is its circular groundscraper—a four-story main building spanning approximately 64 acres—which earned the colloquial nickname "the spaceship" for its distinctive form. Situated on a 360-acre suburban site, the headquarters accommodates more than 12,000 employees while honoring the vision of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs to create a campus that evokes a nature refuge rather than a conventional business park. Eighty percent of the site is devoted to green space planted with drought-resistant, indigenous vegetation, and the building's central courtyard includes an artificial pond, integrating landscape and architecture in a landscape-dominant composition.
