Arakelots Monastery, a 13th-century Armenian complex in the Tavush Province, sits on a hilltop in dense forest near Kirants, overlooking the left bank of the Kunen River. The monastic ensemble, constructed in the distinctive Armenian architectural style, is surrounded by related structures including the ruins of a caravanserai approximately 80 metres downhill and a ruined chapel on an adjacent hill, evidence of its historical importance as a religious and commercial center. The site is recognized as a cultural heritage monument in Armenia.
