The Arthur B. Heurtley House, built in Oak Park, Illinois, in 1902, is a pioneering example of Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie School architecture. Designed by Wright himself, this single-family home represents one of the earliest complete expressions of his Prairie style, characterized by horizontal lines and integration with the landscape that would define his revolutionary approach to residential design. The house was recognized for its historical significance when it was designated a National Historic Landmark on February 16, 2000, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
