This Prairie School residence in Oak Park, Illinois, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1897 for Rollin and Elizabeth Furbeck, who occupied it briefly until 1899. The house exemplifies Wright's early mastery of horizontal lines and organic spatial planning characteristic of the Prairie School movement. Now a contributing property to the Frank Lloyd Wright–Prairie School of Architecture Historic District and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Furbeck House reflects the architect's influential domestic designs that emerged at the turn of the twentieth century.
