St. Johann Nepomuk, commonly known as the Asam Church, is a Baroque church in Munich that stands as one of the most important Late Baroque buildings of southern Germany. Built between 1733 and 1746 by the Asam brothers—sculptor Egid Quirin Asam and painter Cosmas Damian Asam—the structure originated as the brothers' private church. The building exemplifies the theatrical grandeur characteristic of Baroque and Rococo architecture, showcasing the integrated artistic vision of its talented creators, and remains a protected architectural heritage monument in Bavaria.
