Atalaya Castle, located in Murrells Inlet near the Atlantic coast in Georgetown County, South Carolina, was the winter residence of industrialist and philanthropist Archer M. Huntington and his wife, sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. Huntington himself designed the house in Moorish Revival and Mediterranean Revival styles, drawing inspiration from Moroccan and Andalusian coastal architecture—a reflection of his scholarly interests in Moroccan culture and art. Now situated within Huntington Beach State Park, the structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
