Located on the outskirts of Aztec, New Mexico, near the Animas River, the Aztec Ruins Administration Building-Museum was constructed in 1919 in the Pueblo Revival style by archaeologist Earl Halstead Morris, who used the structure as a field station for the American Natural History Museum and as his own residence and workspace. Situated approximately 0.75 miles north of U.S. Route 550 by the main entrance to Aztec Ruins National Monument, the building now serves as a visitor center and National Park Service facility, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
