Bank of America Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Charlotte's Uptown district, designed by Populous and opened in 1996 as Ericsson Stadium. With a capacity of 75,037, it serves as the home of the NFL's Carolina Panthers and MLS's Charlotte FC. The venue's bowl design has been praised as emblematic of classic American stadium architecture. In 2004, Bank of America purchased the naming rights in a 20–25-year agreement valued at $140 million. Beyond regular season play, the stadium hosts the annual Duke's Mayo Bowl and has been contracted to host the ACC Championship Game through at least 2030, reinforcing its role as a major college football venue.
