The Basilica of the Fourteen Holy Helpers rises near Bad Staffelstein in Bavaria, a late Baroque masterwork by Johann Balthasar Neumann constructed between 1743 and 1772. Built in sandstone, this minor basilica was dedicated to the Fourteen Holy Helpers, a group of saints venerated together in the Catholic Church, particularly in Germany during the era of the Black Death. The exuberant interior, which earned the epithet "God's Ballroom" for its ornamental splendor, exemplifies the Rococo sensibility of German Baroque architecture and stands as a protected architectural heritage monument in Bavaria.
