The Bauhaus-Archiv is a museum and state archive in Berlin's Mitte district dedicated to preserving and exhibiting materials related to the Bauhaus School (1919–1933). Designed by Walter Gropius and Volker Staab, the building itself exemplifies Bauhaus architectural principles and was completed in 1960. The archive houses art pieces, objects, documents, and literature connected to the influential design movement. Recognized as an architectural heritage monument, the museum is currently undergoing construction and will reopen in 2027, with a temporary location operating at Knesbeckstr. 1–2 in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
