The Ben Youssef Madrasa, an Islamic college in Marrakech, Morocco, was commissioned in 1564–65 CE by the Saadian sultan Abdallah al-Ghalib and named after the adjacent Ben Youssef Mosque. At its height, it served as the largest Islamic college in the Maghreb and stands as a pinnacle of Saadian and Moroccan architecture. Now a historical site, the madrasa remains part of Morocco's UNESCO World Heritage designation and represents a significant example of Islamic architectural achievement.
