The Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hasan, located in Salah al-Din Square in Cairo's historic district, is a monumental structure built between 1356 and 1363 during the Bahri Mamluk period under the commission of Sultan an-Nasir Hasan. Remarkable for its massive scale and innovative architectural design, the building combines mosque and madrasa functions within a single külliye complex. Its ambitious engineering and spatial organization established it as one of Cairo's most impressive historic monuments, a distinction it retains today. The structure represents a significant achievement in Islamic architecture and is recognized as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
