Located at 150 Depot Street in downtown Bennington, Vermont, this historic railroad depot was built between 1897 and 1898 by the Bennington and Rutland Railroad. Executed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, it stands as Vermont's only railroad station designed in that distinctive architectural idiom, characterized by robust masonry forms and arched openings typical of the style. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, the building has since been repurposed, serving as a restaurant until 2018 before transitioning to office space for architectural and engineering firms.
