Union Station in Providence, Rhode Island, represents a neoclassical railway station designed by the architectural firm Stone, Carpenter, and Willson. The building is actually one of two distinct union stations that have operated in the city; the later iteration has been preserved and adapted, with portions renovated to accommodate offices and restaurants. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the station exemplifies the grand civic ambitions of American railway architecture during its era.
