Bhairavakonda Caves, located in Prakasam district, India, are rock-cut Hindu temple caves dating to the seventh century. Carved directly from natural rock formations, these caves exemplify the rock-cut architectural tradition of early medieval India. Designated as a Monument of National Importance, the site preserves examples of Hindu religious architecture from a formative period in Indian temple design, when such excavated sanctuaries served as important centers of worship and spiritual practice.
