The Undavalli Caves are monolithic rock-cut structures carved from solid sandstone hills in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, located southwest of Vijayawada. Fashioned during the 4th–5th centuries CE, primarily under the Vishnukundina dynasty, these caves represent a significant example of Indian rock-cut architecture. Designated a Monument of National Importance, the site preserves an important record of early medieval sculptural and architectural practices in South India.
