Bowden Hall, a Mission Revival-style dormitory constructed in 1928 on the campus of Western New Mexico University in Silver City, was designed by the architectural firm Trost & Trost. Originally built as a men's residence hall and named after a board of regents member, the building underwent a functional transformation when its bedrooms were converted into classrooms. The structure now serves as home to the Department of Humanities and has been recognized for its historical significance, earning listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 and designation on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties.
