The Broadway-Chambers Building is a Beaux-Arts skyscraper designed by architect Cass Gilbert and completed in 1900 in Manhattan. Located at the intersection of Broadway and Chambers Street, this office building represents an early example of the monumental commercial architecture that defined New York's skyline at the turn of the twentieth century. Its Beaux-Arts style, with refined classical detailing applied to a modern steel frame, exemplified Gilbert's approach to merging historical ornament with contemporary structural innovation. The building has been designated a New York City Landmark, recognizing its architectural and historical significance in the development of Manhattan's downtown district.
