The Forbes Building is a Beaux-Arts office tower completed in 1925 on Manhattan's skyline, designed by the prominent architectural firm Carrère and Hastings. The structure exemplifies the refined classical vocabulary characteristic of the Beaux-Arts style that dominated American institutional and commercial architecture in the early twentieth century. Its presence on the National Register of Historic Places reflects its significance as a well-preserved example of the era's architectural ambitions.
