Bull Point Lighthouse stands on a rocky promontory about one mile north of Mortehoe on Devon's northern coast, built in 1879 to guide shipping and warn of the treacherous, rocky shores that characterize the area. Rising 11 metres, the lighthouse serves as a visual aid to the nearby villages of Mortehoe, Woolacombe, and Ilfracombe.
