Canary Wharf is a London Underground station designed by Norman Foster and opened on 17 September 1999 as part of the Jubilee Line Extension. Located on the Isle of Dogs and situated between Canada Water and North Greenwich stations, it serves London fare zone 2. The station has become one of the network's most heavily trafficked, handling over 40 million passengers annually—making it the second busiest on the London Underground outside Central London after Stratford, and the busiest station serving only a single line.
