The Castello di Maredolce, also known as Palazzo della Favara, is a medieval palace in Palermo that exemplifies Norman architecture from Sicily's Siculo-Norman period. Built as one of the royal pleasure palaces—or "Solatii Regii"—for the Kings of Sicily, it stands within Favara Park in the Brancaccio neighbourhood. Today the castle serves multiple institutional roles as a religious museum, military museum, and public entity museum, and holds the status of Italian national heritage.
