All Saints' Church, commonly known as the Castle Church, stands in Wittenberg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, as a Gothic edifice begun in 1346 under architect Conrad Pflüger and rising to a height of 88 metres. The church gained paramount historical significance as the site where Martin Luther, according to Philip Melanchthon's account, posted his Ninety-five Theses in 1517, an act that sparked the Protestant Reformation. Following restoration work initiated in 1883, the church was re-inaugurated on 31 October 1892, precisely 375 years after Luther's posting. Recognised for its profound religious and historical importance as a memorial to the Reformation's enduring global impact, the church was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996 alongside other Wittenberg and Eisleben sites associated with Luther and Melanchthon. Today it remains a protected heritage monument in Saxony-Anhalt.
