The Castle of Evoramonte, located in the civil parish of Evoramonte in the municipality of Estremoz, Portugal, originated in 1160 during the Gothic period and was subsequently enlarged in the Manueline style. Beyond its architectural significance, the castle holds major historical importance as the site where the Concession of Evoramonte was signed on 26 May 1834, concluding the Liberal Wars between the forces of Queen Maria II and the Absolutist armies of Miguel of Portugal. Designated a National Monument of Portugal since 1910, it remains an essential landmark in Portuguese heritage.
