The Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart stands on First Street in Emmett, Idaho, a Mission Revival structure designed by the architectural firm Tourtellotte & Hummel and completed in 1928. Its front facade features a gabled roof, a baroque-curved bell tower, and a round-arched entrance, with stucco enriched by wrought-iron ornament. The building comprises a 35-by-50-foot nave with a sanctuary and sacristy of 12 by 38 feet offset at the rear; it was modified with additions in 1977. Located directly across from the First Baptist Church, it is one of six churches built within a two-block radius of Emmett between 1906 and 1934. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, along with four of its neighboring ecclesiastical structures.
