Charlottenhof Palace, a neoclassical structure completed in 1826, sits southwest of Sanssouci Palace within Sanssouci Park near Potsdam, Germany. Designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and Friedrich Ludwig Persius, the palace served as the summer residence of Crown Prince Frederick William, who would later become King Frederick William IV of Prussia. Now designated as a Kulturdenkmal and maintained by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg, the building exemplifies the refined neoclassical idiom favored by Prussian royalty in the early nineteenth century.
