Château Climens is a Premier Cru Classé wine estate in Barsac, in the Graves district of Bordeaux, located an eighth of a mile from Château Coutet. The vineyard produces Sauternes wine using biodynamic farming methods and natural yeast fermentation. Its wines are characteristically known to be best when young, with select vintages—notably 1929, 1947, and 1949—achieving exceptional finesse that critic Alexis Lichine described as surpassing Château d'Yquem in their lighter, more subtle character. The estate also produces a second wine, Cypres de Climens, and as of 2018 began producing a dry Semillon white wine named Asphodele du Climens Grand Vin Blanc Sec.
