Château Woolsack, a former hunting lodge in Mimizan in southwestern France's Landes department, was built in 1911 on the shores of Lake Aureilhan by Hugh Grosvenor, 2nd Duke of Westminster. Designed by architect Herbert Baker in Tudor style, it was conceived as a replica of Rudyard Kipling's own residence, paying homage to the celebrated author of The Jungle Book. The site has been protected as a listed monument since 1978.
