The Chattenburg was a neoclassical palace in Kassel, Germany, designed by architect Heinrich Christoph Jussow and begun by Elector William I of Hesse as a replacement for the Kassel City Palace, destroyed by fire in 1811 and demolished in 1816. Construction progressed only to the ground floor in its raw state before William I's death in February 1821, after which his successor William II abandoned the project entirely.
