Located near Thessaloniki's western medieval walls on Olympou Street, the Church of the Holy Apostles is a 14th-century Byzantine Greek Orthodox church renowned for its outstanding mosaics and architectural refinement. Built during the height of the Byzantine period, it stands as testimony to Thessaloniki's significance in early and medieval Christianity. The structure was converted to a mosque during the 16th-century Ottoman occupation before being reconsecrated as a church in the 20th century. Today it comprises one of fifteen paleochristian and Byzantine monuments of Thessaloniki inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
