The Church of the Light in Ibaraki, Osaka Prefecture, is the main chapel of the Ibaraki Kasugaoka Church, a member congregation of the United Church of Christ in Japan. Built in 1989 and designed by acclaimed Japanese architect Tadao Ando, the structure exemplifies his minimalist approach through its use of reinforced concrete. The building gained recognition as one of Ando's most celebrated works, distinguished by its restrained aesthetic and precise material expression. A Sunday School addition was completed in 1999, extending the original chapel's facilities.
