City Tower stands as a 30-storey modernist office building in Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens area, completed in 1965 to designs by architect Ralph Covell. With a roof height of 107 metres, it ranks as the second-tallest office building in Manchester and the third-tallest outside London, surpassed only by the CIS Tower locally and 103 Colmore Row in Birmingham. Originally known as Sunley House, the tower exemplifies the post-war high-rise development that reshaped Manchester's skyline during the mid-twentieth century.
