The Co-Cathedral of the Assumption in Chilapa, Guerrero, Mexico, is the second cathedral in the Diocese of Chilpancingo-Chilapa and the principal Catholic church of its city. Dedicated to the Virgin of the Assumption, the structure was originally constructed under orders from Monsignor Ramón Ibarra y González but was destroyed by fire in 1930. The bishop then commissioned architect Federico Mariscal to oversee its reconstruction, which he completed, resulting in a modern architectural design. The cathedral rose to become the fourth most important cathedral in the country.
