The Courthouse in Ljubljana, Slovenia's capital, is a 19th-century Renaissance Revival structure erected in the central district following the devastating 1895 earthquake. Long serving as the seat of regional courts, the building gained notoriety in the late 1940s when it hosted prominent show trials against opponents of the Yugoslav Titoist regime, including the Rožman trial of 1945 and the Nagode trial of 1946. The courthouse was renovated in the early 1950s and underwent extensive restoration in 2007 and 2008. Today it stands as a monument of local significance, its architectural legacy intertwined with Slovenia's complex modern history.
