Located at 1970 Main Street in downtown Sarasota, the Crisp Building is a 1926 office building designed by Clas, Shepard & Clas and constructed by T. H. Crisp's development company. A distinguished example of Mediterranean Revival architecture, the building reflects the prosperity of Sarasota's building boom in the 1920s and 1930s, when the Crisp Company developed numerous residential properties throughout the city. Beyond its commercial use, the structure has served as a meeting hall for Sarasota's chapter of the Loyal Order of Moose. Though its original windows were replaced with aluminum ones in 1990 and interior modifications were made in the 1970s and during a 1990–98 renovation of the first floor, the Crisp Building remains one of the best-preserved examples of Mediterranean Revival style in the downtown area. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 21, 2000.
