Dar Hassan Pacha is an 18th-century palace in the Casbah of Algiers, constructed in 1791 as the residence of Hassan III Pasha, the Ottoman ruler who signed a treaty with the United States in 1795. Following the French conquest in 1830, the palace was repurposed as the winter residence of the French Governor of Algiers and underwent substantial remodelling in 1839, including a redesigned entrance and new façade that blended Moorish and Gothic Revival elements. The building now forms part of the Casbah's UNESCO World Heritage Site.
