The Demerdash Mosque is a sixteenth-century Islamic sanctuary and mausoleum in Cairo's Al-Wayli district, completed in 1523 during the Mamluk era. Built in the Abbassia quarter adjacent to the Demerdash Hospital, it now forms part of Ain Shams University's grounds. The mosque commemorates Shaykh Demerdash—Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Al-Amir—whose tomb lies within its walls, making it both a place of worship and a shrine honoring this venerated figure.
