Enterprise Plaza, a 55-story office tower completed in 1980 at 1100 Louisiana Street in downtown Houston, stands 230 meters tall in the heart of the city's energy and financial corridor. Designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and developed by Hines, it served as Texas's tallest building until 1982, when the JPMorgan Chase Tower surpassed it. The building houses the headquarters of Enterprise Products and has changed ownership multiple times, passing through Capitol Guidance Corporation, National Office Partners Limited Partnership (a joint venture between Hines and the California Public Employees Retirement System), before returning to Hines Real Estate in 2000.
