The Ferdowsi Mausoleum in Tus, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, is a tomb complex honoring the celebrated Persian poet Ferdowsi. Built in the early 1930s, the structure combines a white marble base with a decorative tower, designed by architects Hossein Lorzadeh and Hooshang Seyhoun in the Pahlavi architectural style. The mausoleum draws extensively from Achaemenid architectural elements, using faience and marble to evoke Iran's ancient cultural heritage. Its design reflects both the cultural aspirations and geopolitical status of Iran during the period of its construction, serving as a monument to the nation's literary and historical significance.
