The Festetics Palace in Keszthely, Hungary, is a Baroque country house that stands among the three largest of its kind in the nation. Construction began in 1745 under Kristóf Festetics, built upon the foundations of a ruined castle, and extended across more than a century through two major expansions that tripled its original size. The final and most substantial campaign occurred in the 1880s, directed by Viennese architect Viktor Rumpelmayer; after his death in 1885, architects Gusztáv Haas and Miksa Paschkisch completed the work. The palace now serves as the Helikon Palace Museum.
