Feštetić Castle stands in Pribislavec, a village near Čakovec in northern Croatia. Built most likely in the 16th century, the castle was initially owned by members of the Zrinski family, including count Adam Zrinski, until the late 17th century. The Feštetić family, a Croatian-Hungarian noble house, acquired and held the property from 1791 to 1923, lending their name to the structure. In 1870, count György Festetics commissioned a major reconstruction that transformed the castle into its present neogothic character, marked by a prominent southeastern tower, bay windows, decorative garlands, and ornamental door and window jambs. Originally surrounded by parkland and gardens featuring a chapel, the castle has endured repeated destruction and fire during centuries of regional conflict, yet was consistently restored. Today recognized as one of Međimurje County's most beautiful and romantic castles, it serves as a local primary school and is registered among Croatia's cultural goods.
