First Methodist Church of Rockwall, located at 303 E. Rusk in downtown Rockwall, Texas, is a Mission Revival brick building constructed in 1913 by architect George Lindsey of Greenville. Commissioned by the local Methodist congregation—which had formed in 1856 and previously worshipped in a wooden structure—the one-and-a-half-story church cost over $15,000 to complete. Its distinctive design features two square towers anchoring the southern corners, curved Mission-style parapets adorning the south and west facades, and round-arched doors and windows throughout. The interior originally incorporated the Akron Plan, a progressive Sunday school layout that accommodated both large congregational gatherings and smaller, age-divided classrooms. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
