Flass, a large Neo-Palladian house near Maulds Meaburn in Cumbria, England, was built in the 19th century by the tea and opium traders Lancelot and Wilkinson Dent of Dent & Co. The Grade II* listed building remained with the Dent family until 1972, when it passed to historian Frank Welsh, followed by solicitor Malcolm Whiteside in 1982. Musician Christine Holmes and her husband Paul Davies acquired the property in 2000; following their divorce, it was discovered in 2012 that the house had been used for cannabis cultivation by a criminal gang, leading to the jailing of six men, including Davies, in 2015. Holmes subsequently regained control and the property was sold at auction in 2019.
